INTRODUCTION TO VERB PART - 1

VERB


     After coming to know about the Nouns and Pronouns as they play the role of Subject / Object in the Sentence and Questions. Secondly we would better to learn about the VERB which is one of the parts of "Parts of Speech" and the heart of the VIEWS to communicate.

     In-fact if we fell that the language is just like a tree, the VIEW is the root of it and all the rest of words are just like different branches. The life or the energy is given by the Verb for all the Views, then all the erst of branches also get the energy and automatically the communication is admirable and inspirable.

     So, if we want to make our speech admirable and inspirable or correct, at first we must have the complete command over the 'VERB', how to use it, where to use it and when to use it.

     Now we are going to start knowing about the "VERB".

Verb is of mainly two kinds.

They are:

1. Helping Verbs

2. Main Verbs



     Helping Verbs are the words which denote the VIEWS of us.
     
     Main Verbs are the words which denote our works / actions.

First let us come to know about Helping Verbs.


 
HELPING VERBS:  

1. These are called as Supporting Verbs or Auxiliaries.

2. These are totally '24'.

NOTE: As the Views are limited in every language these are also limited.

3. These have two forms like Present and Past.

4. There are categorized into four parts as follows: 



I. 'Be' forms: These are five. 

They are:  am / is / are / was / were.

Am / is / are........Present.

Was / were.........Past.


NOTE: Basically these are useful to say our different positions like minded, physical, financial, socialistic etc., by their straight meanings. So, these are called 'Be' forms.

Ex: I am happy. (Minded position)
     Rama is a doctor. (Social position)
     Their business is in loss. (Financial position)
     She is in the class room. ( Physical position)
















II. POSSESSIVE FORMS:  These are three.

They are:  has / have and had.

           Has and Have ...........Present forms.
           Had .........................Past form.



NOTE:  Basically they are useful to convey our possession means what we contain / own, by their straight meanings. These are called "Possessive" forms.

Ex: I have Confidence.
     He has dreams.
    I had a seminar yesterday.



III."Do forms": These are three.

They are:

Do, Does and Did.

Do and Does ....... Present forms.

Did ..................... Past form.

     Basically these are useful to convey about our actions by their straight meanings. So, these are called "Do" forms.

Ex: I do exercise everyday.
      Rama does Yoga once a week.
      I did exercise yesterday.
