CONJUNCTIONS





The meanings and examples as follows:


Whenever, Whatever, Wherever, Whoever etc:

     Generally these are useful to join to two habitual actions of Present of Past or Future as follows.


WHENEVER:

     Whenever he asks, I help him. (Present)
     Whenever he asked, I helped him. (Past)
     Whenever he asks, I will help him. (Future)


WHEREVER:

     Wherever he comes, he creates nuisance. (Present)
     Wherever he came, he created nuisance. (Past)
     Wherever he comes, he will create nuisance. (Future)


WHATEVER:

     Whatever they start, they drop in the middle.  (Present)
     Whatever they started, they dropped / used to drop in the middle.  (Past)
     Whatever they start, they will drop in the middle.  (Future)


WHOEVER:

     Whoever advises me, I take up.  (Present)
     Whoever advised me, I took up.  (Past)
     Whoever advises me, I will take up.  (Future)


HOWEVER:

     However I read, I am habituated to forget.  (Present)
     However I read, I forget it.  (Past)
     However I read, I will remember it.  (Future)


WHICHEVER:

     Whichever he plays, he wins.  (Present)
     Whichever he played, he won.  (Past)
     Whichever he plays, he will win.  (Future) 








EVEN-IF:

     Even-if I come, I don't meet you.  (Present)
     Even-if You asked, I couldn't help you.  (Past)
     Even-if I get the job, I won't give you party.  (Future)


AFTER, BEFORE:

     These are useful to join the two actions which are done one after one either in Present or Past or Future.

     After these Conjunctions we have to use "Ing" form (Gerund) for speaking in a simple manner.


NOTE:  When the two actions are done by the same person we need not to use Subject after them. But when the two actions are done by two different persons we have to use the Subject, but it must be in Possessive case.


Examples:

     After getting up, I go for walking.  (Present)
     After getting up, I went for walking.  (Past)
     After getting up, I will give you party.  (Future)


WITH SUBJECT:

     After your coming, I will go.  (Future)
     After his asking, I helped him.  (Past)
     After my starting work, he starts everyday.  (Present)


BEFORE:  (Omission of Subject)

     Before going to bed, I take milk.  (Present)
     Before starting, I will inform you.  (Future)
     Before coming here, I informed you.  (Past)


WITH SUBJECT:

     Before his going to bed, I sleep.  (Present)
     Before her getting the job, I got it.  (Past)
     Before taking decision, I will discuss with you.  (Future)
