OTHER USES OF IIIrd FORM OF MAIN VERB





1. Main Verb 3rd form means the Past Participle form is also used as Compound Noun and Adjectives as follows:


Examples:


Broken-chair:  You please don't sit in that broken chair.

Written-notes: Can you please give me your written-notes?

Given-money: Your given money is spent today.

Taught-lesson: I will conduct an exam in taught lesson.

Said-words: Are you able to understand my said words?

Rotten-egg: That rotten-egg is not good for health.

Torn-shirt: This torn shirt reflects your present stage.

Postponed-project: Please finish the postponed project.



2. SAYING THE DISSATISFIED FEELINGS: (UNFULFILLED ACTIONS)


     Here the 3rd form of Main Verbs are used after Would have, Should have, Could have, Might have and Must have.

     Generally we don't have chance to say the completed works with below 100% guarantee, by using Modal Auxiliaries as they are said after they completed.

     But generally after getting the result whether it is god or bad by doing works, man thinks in opposite way to the real happenings. Such kind of thoughts are considered as dissatisfied feelings.

     Here we think how it would be if anything was not done, even-if it was done and we think now it would be. If anything was done, even-if it was not done.












Examples:

Subject based:  Sub+ would / should /could / might + have + 
                             M.V 3rd form + .

They should have started the business.
They shouldn't have started the business.
Should they have started the business?
Shouldn't they have started the business?

Object based:  Obj + would / should / could / might + have + been + 
                           M.V 3rd form + ....

The business should have been started.
The business shouldn't have been started.
Should the business have been started?
Shouldn't the business have been started?


WOULD HAVE:

You would have finished the work.
You wouldn't have finished the work.
Would you have finished the work.
Wouldn't you have finished the work?

The work would have been finished.
The work wouldn't have been finished.
Would the work have been finished?
Wouldn't the work have been finished?


COULD HAVE:


They could have taken money.
They couldn't have taken money.
Could they have taken money?
Couldn't they have taken money?

Money could have been taken.
Money couldn't have been taken.
Could the money have been taken?
Couldn't the money have been taken?


MIGHT HAVE:

They might have helped.
They might not have helped.
Might they have helped?
Might they not have helped?

They might have been helped.
They might not have been helped.
Might they have been helped?
Might they not have been helped?


MUST HAVE:

We must have written notes.
We must not have written notes.
Must we have written notes?
Must we not have written notes?

Notes must have been written.
Notes must not have been written.
Must notes have been written?
Must notes not have been written?


SOME MORE EXAMPLES:

I would have attended the party.
We should have given gifts.
They might have got the job.
He could have answered.
Rama would have taken decission.
You should have talked to him.


DIRECT OBJECT:

The work would have been started.
Loan might have been sanctioned.
Money should have been recovered.
Expenses must have been reduced.
Plan should have been succeeded.
Business would have been developed.


INDIRECT OBJECT:

Rama would have been selected.
They should have been promoted.
He could have been transferred.
She might have been appreciated.
Ravi must have been recovered.
I would have been rejected.



WORK PLAN:

1. Write at-least 10-20 sentences on your own.
2. Have oral practice having the consciousness on meaning of both sentences 
    and questions.
